Brief History
Cape Cod lies in the Southeastern corner of Massachusetts extending into the Atlantic Ocean. The area extends from Provincetown in the northeast to Woods Hole in the southwest, where Plymouth bordered its Northwestern part. The Cape Cod towns of Bourne and Sandwich are located on the mainland side of the canal. People labeled the area as Cape Cod because of its location, a conterminous city with Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Pristine beaches line the area which attracts hundreds of tourist during the summer months.

Cape Cod Tourism
Lined with beautiful sandy beaches and relaxed ambiance, travelers from nearby states of New York and Boston flock Cape Cod. As a popular summer destination, many go to bask in its pristine beaches under the sun. While you may find some of the popular beaches to be overcrowded, there are a lot of serene nooks up north of Cape Cod.
One can easily reach the tranquil islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard via ferries leaving the southern shore of Cape Cod. There are numerous ways to spend time in these parts of the island like exploring decades old lighthouses, windmills, and sea captain’s homes. Colors of nature decorate Cape Cod in a different season. June paints the town in pink roses while daffodils splash Cape Cod with daffodils. But in the fall, intense color of bright crimson from ripe cranberries adorns Cape Cod.

Well trained naturalists will educate passengers to observed humpback, finback and minke whales. The tour usually lasts for about two and a half hours.
